BioPass – Privacy Policy

BioPass provides health-tracking and analytics services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the BioPass mobile application and website.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide
- Account details: name and email address.
- Payment information is handled by the App Store and never stored on our servers.
- Any health or wellness data you manually enter.
b. Automatically Collected Data
- Device information: model, OS version, app version.
- App usage statistics and crash logs.
- Analytics data such as app interactions, screen views, and feature usage, which may be linked to a user account for the purpose of improving app functionality and user experience.
c. Health & Wearable Data
If you connect wearables or upload lab data, we may collect:
- Activity metrics (steps, heart rate, sleep data).
- Lab test results and other health parameters.
Users must grant explicit permission before this data is accessed.
Health data collected via Apple HealthKit or uploaded lab reports is used solely to display health information, reports, and insights to the user within the BioPass app. This data is never used for advertising or tracking purposes and is not sold to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve app features.
- Generate personalized health insights and analysis.
- Securely sync data across your devices.
- Communicate updates, support messages, or critical health notifications.
- Comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
3. Data Storage & Security
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Access is restricted using role-based controls.
- We follow industry standards for security and retention.
If the user deletes their account, all personal data is permanently erased within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
4. Tracking and Advertising
BioPass does not use user data, including health data or email addresses, for targeted advertising, cross-app tracking, or marketing purposes. We do not share user data with data brokers or advertising networks.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share data only with:
- Service providers that help us operate the app (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics).
- Health partners you explicitly connect (e.g., wearable platforms).
- Regulatory authorities if legally required.
We do not share data with advertisers or third parties for marketing.
6. User Rights
Depending on your region, you may:
- Access your data
- Correct or update information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Withdraw permissions (e.g., HealthKit access)
All rights can be exercised from within the app or by contacting support.
7. Children's Privacy
BioPass is not intended for individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Third-Party Technologies
BioPass may integrate with:
- Apple HealthKit / Google Fit
- Wearable APIs
- Payment and analytics services
BioPass uses third-party services such as Sentry (for crash reporting) and Mixpanel (for product analytics) to improve app stability and user experience. These services do not use data for advertising or tracking across other apps or websites.
These services operate under their own privacy policies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of BioPass after changes means you accept the updated policy.
